A figure showing ALICE measurements on "Mid-rapidity, anti-baryon to baryon ratios in pp collisions at √s=0.9, 2.76 and 7 TeV" featured in the cover of The European Physical Journal C (EPJ C).

The articles presented results for different ratio of p/p, Λ/Λ, Ξ+- and Ω+- in pp collisions. The results were also compared to expectations from event generators like PYTHIA and HIJING/B which are often used for modeling particle production in pp collisions.

The figure shows the mid-rapidity yields ratio integrated over a forward rapidity of <0.5 in the case of p/p ratio and <0.8 for Λ/Λ, Ξ+- and Ω+-. The squared, triangulated and circled marks correspond to different √s of 0.9, 2.76 and 7 TeV collision energies.

The energy dependence that was observed for the various ratios reached values compatible with unity for √s =7 TeV and in that way complimented the earlier pbar/p masurements of ALICE. As Michal Broz, says: "This was a high-precision measurement. Thanks to the low uncertainty we reached, we were able to disfavour models with exchanges not suppressed at large Delta y, predicting a few percent deviation of the ratios from the unity at 7 TeV."
