The CERN OpenDays 2013 will be taking place in two months' time. During Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 September 100 000 visitors are expected.

At Point 2 we expect around 2000 visitors per day. The underground visit of the ALICE cavern and the LHC tunnel will probably be the highlights of the visit.

We will also be offering activities on the surface at Point 2 : stands with detector exhibits, with DAQ and DCS computers, our Mexican colleagues' "Cosmic piano", basic physics experiments for the younger children, to name but a few.

In addition, we will be offering introductory lectures of 20-30 minutes every hour, question and answer sessions.. And the visitors will have the opportunity to take away some ALICE souvenir.. t-shirts, books, mugs, the ALICE Papercraft.

To run this show we need the contribution of many. Counting underground guides, surface guides, activity animators, lectureres etc we estimate that more than hundred volunteers per day are needed.

We are grateful to those who have signed up already. But we need more. Think how gratifying it is to share your passion with the public - and sign up to be a volunteer!
