“LHC” by Peter Ginter, one of the world's best photographers, author Franzobel, and Rolf Dieter Heuer, Director General of CERN, is a coffee table staple that would make a good Christmas present for friends and family who wish to know more about CERN and the construction of the ground-breaking experiments and machines we work with everyday.

Peter Ginter came to Point 2 several times and this book is the result of 18 years of passionate photography, at CERN and around the world, to document the construction of the accelerator and of the experiments. ALICE is well represented in this book, with several beautiful pictures illustrating different phases in the construction of the experiment. Several ALICE physics events are displayed and an ALICE event from last year’s Pb-Pb run has even be selected to decorate the glossy slip case which hosts the book.
