It’s that time of the year again! On Friday, 28 September, CERN will host a public event on the occasion of the 2018 European Researchers’ Night, an evening appointment with science. As for the previous nine editions, CERN has organized a series of activities for visitors, who can meet at the laboratory between 5 pm and 11 pm to discover about research and technologies for particle physics. The programme includes robotics and cloud chamber workshops, visits to the synchrocyclotron, virtual reality experiences, physics shows and movie projections.

The highlight of the night will be the screening of the film “Almost Nothing: CERN Experimental City”, which will be followed by a question-and-answer session with director Anna de Manincor and co-writer Anna Rispoli.

Those who would like to participate in this “science party” but cannot go to CERN, will be able to follow the event on Facebook Live from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m and ask questions to the scientists.

The full programme of the night is available online (the entrance is free).
