On 23 May Dr Elmir Velizadeh, Deputy Minister for Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Prof. Adil Garibov, Chairman of the National Nuclear Research Centre, and Dr Anar Rustamov, Head of the Nuclear Physics Department, came to CERN on an official visit. The delegation was welcomed by the Director for Research and Computing Eckhard Elsen and the Director for International Relations Charlotte Warakaulle. After a brief discussion, they proceeded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the National Nuclear Research Centre of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the ALICE Collaboration.

Four days later, on 27 May, representatives of the National Assembly and Ministries of the Republic of Korea also paid an official visit to ALICE. 

They were given a tour in the ALICE Run Control Centre and in the ALICE exhibition at Point 2 by Prof. Paolo Giubellino, ALICE Spokesperson, Prof. Federico Antinori, Spokesperson-elect, Prof. Luciano Musa, ITS Project Leader, and Prof. In-Kwon Yoo, former ALICE National Contact Physicist.
